Have fun playing with soap and water!! You can experiment with Tornado Tube and soda bottles with a simple household item.
Supplies:
1 Tornado Tube
2 soda bottles
cold water
5-10 drops of Dish Soap
Food Coloring (optional)
Directions:
1st: Fill one of your soda bottles with about 3/4 cold water.
2nd: Begin your soap experiment by adding 3-5 drops of dish soap into your bottle that contains the cold water.
3rd: Connect your Tornado Tube to your empty soda bottle then connect it to your water and soap filled soda bottle.
4th: Then turn upside down so the water pours down while you create circular motions with the bottle.
Do you see bubbles yet? Maybe you should shake it a little faster!! Don’t be shy.
*Take notes on what happens as you add more soap. Ask yourself or friends some of these questions:
What happens to the water as it is mixes with the soap?
Do you get more bubbles as you add soap?
What size are your bubbles?
Are the bubbles equally the same size?
I bet you could come up with some more questions about your soap experiment on your own.
See what happens when you add more soap!
5th: Continue this experiment by adding more drops of soap to your water in between your Tornado creations. Don’t forget to tighten your Tornado Tube to the soda bottles so it doesn’t leak.
For extra fun and experimenting: try adding food coloring to your water. Does the food coloring have an effect on your soap bubbles?
Have fun and be safe! Wear safety goggles to prevent soapy eyes!
